PROSPERWISE ACADEMY

Wealth events don’t come with instructions... These do.

Six in-depth guides for the financial moments that change everything. Written for Canadians navigating business exits, inheritances, divorces, executive transitions, and rapid business growth — by the advisor who specialises in what comes after the event.

6 pillar guides — Business Exit, Inheritance, Divorce, Executive Retirement, Growth Founder, Sudden Wealth

Author: Rolf Issler, ProsperWise Advisors, Kelowna BC.    Framework: The Sovereignty OS — River, Vineyard, Storehouse

THE SIX WEALTH EVENT GUIDES

ALL WEALTH EVENTS - START HERE

Sudden Wealth Syndrome

The anchor guide. What the governance gap is, how the Dammed River destroys wealth, and how the Sovereignty Charter protects it. Read this first regardless of your wealth event.

BUSINESS EXIT

The Liquidity Event

LCGE qualification, purification strategy, Advisor Capture risk, share vs. asset sale, and the post-sale deployment window. For Canadian founders planning or approaching an exit.

GROWTH STAGE FOUNDER

The Velocity Surge

The Silent Drag, HoldCo structure, salary vs. dividends architecture, passive income trap, and LCGE preservation for founders in the $2M–$10M revenue range.

INHERITANCE

Navigating the Inheritance

The 18-month window, deemed dispositions, RRSP spousal rollover, BC property decisions, and the Firewall Breach. For BC beneficiaries managing inherited assets.

EXECUTIVE RETIREMENT

The Transition Cliff

Pension lump sum vs. annuity, RRSP sequencing, CPP deferral, and the group benefit replacement window. For senior executives approaching or navigating departure.

DIVORCE

The Settlement Gap

Why equal splits aren’t equal, RRSP after-tax value, BC pension division, the Home Trap, and the five financial steps immediately after settlement.

THE SOVEREIGNTY OPERATING SYSTEM

River, Vineyard, Storehouse

Every wealth event — however it arrived — is governed by the same framework. The River is the source: it could be a steady flow feeding the Vineyard, or a flash flood of Sudden Wealth that could destroy it all. The Vineyard grows the Harvest. The Storehouse — one fortress, four chambers — protects it. Anything left outside is fully exposed to the Winged Thieves: inflation, interest rate exposure, litigation, and fees.

THE GROWTH ENGINE

The Vineyard

Long-term growth capital with a 10-to-30-year horizon. Not touched for income. Managed for tax efficiency and compounding. The part of the wealth that builds the next generation’s story.

THE HARVEST

The Harvest

What the Vineyard produces. Capital realised from growth — gains taken from the vine and moved into the Storehouse. Anything left on the vine is fully exposed to the Winged Thieves. The Harvest only becomes protected wealth the moment it crosses the threshold.

THE FOUNDATION

The Storehouse

12 to 24 months of living expenses in liquid, protected capital. Established before any investment decision. The financial foundation from which every subsequent choice is made from security rather than necessity.

What is the Sovereignty OS?

The Sovereignty OS is ProsperWise's framework for governing sudden wealth across all six wealth events. It organises proceeds into three structures — the Storehouse (protection), the River (income), and the Vineyard (growth) — and governs all decisions through a written Sovereignty Charter that defines the rules before any external pressure begins.

What is Sudden Wealth Syndrome?

Sudden Wealth Syndrome is the financial and psychological disorientation that follows a rapid, large increase in personal wealth. The financial consequences are not caused by the wealth itself — they are caused by the governance gap between the arrival of the wealth and the establishment of the structures required to protect it.

What is a Sovereignty Charter?

A Sovereignty Charter is a written governance document that defines the rules of capital management after a wealth event — the Storehouse target (and its four chambers), Vineyard allocation, Solicitation Protocol, and the conditions under which capital leaves each chamber — before any investment commitment is made. It is written before the first advisor meeting, not during it.

What is the Stabilisation Session?

The Stabilisation Session is a 90-minute working session with Rolf Issler, ProsperWise Advisors, that produces a written Sovereignty Charter specific to the client's wealth event. At $249, it is the first step in the ProsperWise engagement — designed to be completed before any investment decision is made with any advisor.

What wealth events does ProsperWise serve?

ProsperWise Advisors serves clients across seven defined wealth events: business exit (the Liquidity Event), growth-stage founder wealth (the Velocity Surge), executive retirement (the Transition Cliff), inheritance (Navigating the Inheritance), divorce (the Settlement Gap), unplanned windfall wealth (the Windfall), and the broader governance framework for all events (Sudden Wealth Syndrome).
