We don’t compete with your work. We complete it.
For lawyers, accountants, notaries, and estate professionals whose clients have just been handed more money than they know what to do with.
The Gap Your Clients Fall Into
The file closes. The client is still standing there.
You finish the deal, settle the estate, or close the file. Your work is done, and it should be — that's your job, and you're good at it. But your client is still standing there holding a number they've never held before, with no one whose job it is to tell them what comes next.
Banks and investment firms want to move fast because that's when their fee starts. Family and friends have opinions with no stake in the outcome. Your client becomes the full-time coordinator of their own financial life — translating between advisors who've never spoken to each other, holding a structure together that nobody actually owns.
That's not a gap in your work. It's a gap next to it.
Scope
What We Do — and Don’t Do
Your Work
You handle the law, the tax filing, the estate settlement, the deal itself. That's your scope, and we don't touch it.
Our Work
We build the governance structure that comes after: a written Sovereignty Charter defining what the money is for, a Stabilization Period that keeps your client from making an irreversible decision in week one, and — once the Charter is ratified — the coordinated implementation of investments, insurance, and ongoing financial management as their Family CFO.
We're not a second opinion on your advice. We're the piece that was missing after it.
Referral Fit
Who We Work With
Estate lawyers & notaries
Clients receiving an inheritance, navigating probate and the distribution of an estate.
Family lawyers
Clients going through a divorce settlement, especially where the family home or a pension is in play.
Corporate & M&A lawyers, accountants
Founders exiting a business, or growth-stage founders whose personal finances haven't kept pace with the company.
HR consultants & executive coaches
Retiring executives navigating pension elections, deferred comp, and equity vesting on a deadline.
Anyone else
Clients with a lottery win, an insurance settlement, a real estate sale, a crypto windfall, or a family gift that's left them without a plan.
Process
How It Works
A referral isn't a handoff — it's a coordination. Your client stays your client for everything in your scope. We build a Sovereignty Charter around their decisions, and where it touches your work — a structural change that affects an estate document, a corporate change that affects a shareholder agreement — we loop you in, with the client's consent, not around it.
One flat fee on our side, so there's never a question of whether the advice is shaped by how fast capital moves.
Common questions
Does ProsperWise provide legal or tax advice that competes with my role?
No. We don't draft legal documents, file tax returns, or replace the advice you already give. Our work is the financial governance and coordination layer that sits between the legal and tax work finishing and the client's long-term structure — the part that usually has no clear owner.
What information do you share with me about a referred client?
Only what the client consents to share, and only where it helps coordinate your work with ours. You remain the client's advisor of record for your own scope.
What kinds of clients are the best fit to refer?
Anyone navigating a significant wealth transition — an inheritance, a business sale, a divorce settlement, an executive retirement, or another windfall — particularly when they're asking “what do I do now” and that question falls outside your own scope.
Is there a referral fee involved?
No. We don't pay referral fees, and we don't accept them. If you refer a client, it's because you trust the fit — not because of any financial arrangement between us.
Introduce a client
The easiest first step is a short conversation — not a pitch, just a chance to understand each other's practices before there's a client involved.
